Improving Accessibility here at The Yawning Abyss
In an effort to make this website as accessible as possible - I’m now including audio versions of most of the posts here on The Yawning Abyss. You can listen using the player at the top of each post or you can download the mp3 file to listen later.
I’ve gone back and recorded all the posts so far. Including my post on Lene’s wheelchair. I’ve also recorded the skits in It Probably Shouldn’t be Called Stonehenge.
I won’t guarantee that all posts will have an audio version. I probably won’t do an audio version of my picture posts. I will do my best to have the audio online when I put up new posts. If I end up rushing a post I may not have the audio ready right away though.
Also - while I’m trying to make the audio as clean and clear as possible - I’m not a professional when it comes to recording and editing. I’m one of those people who cringes at the sound of my own voice - so it’s taking some effort to put these together. Thankfully it is getting easier.
If you do start listening to posts - please let me know. If these are useful, whether because the posts are more accessible or just that you can listen instead of reading them, let me know. I’d like to know what you think of this experiment.
As always - you can reach me on twitter @TheYawningAbyss of via email at “mindthegap @ theyawningabyss.com”.
Thanks for listening.
